John E. Barrett, the founder of PM Consultants, is a seasoned financial expert with decades of experience in municipal finance, strategic planning, and governmental consulting. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles, including serving as a Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for multiple municipalities, where he provided financial oversight and developed long-term fiscal strategies. His background as a Municipal Auditor and Audit Supervisor further strengthened his expertise in compliance, reporting, and best practices, allowing him to help local governments maintain financial integrity and efficiency.

As a Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO), Certified County Finance Officer (CCFO), and Certified Financial Manager, Barrett blends technical expertise with a results-driven approach. His academic background in Accounting and Public Policy reflects a well-rounded perspective, allowing him to bring both analytical precision and strategic insight to every challenge. His leadership at PM Consultants is rooted in a deep commitment to helping municipalities operate at their highest level, ensuring they have the financial stability and operational structure needed to serve their communities effectively.
